APIDA Graduation

The SDSU Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Center is hosting our annual APIDA Excellence Celebration to honor our December 2023, May 2024, and August 2024 graduates. We will also be celebrating the end of the school year.  There will be cake, food, activity booths, and more! Come one, come all! Participants must RSVP to attend and graduates must be in attendance the entire time to get an honor cord. Please follow the @sdsuapidacenter on Instagram for more information.

The Black Baccalaureate Ceremony, hosted by Afriana Studies, is for seniors and graduate students who are graduating in December 2023, May 2024, and August 2024.

EOP, Outreach and Success (EOPOS) Graduation

The EOP, Outreach & Success (EOPOS) team celebrates the success of our scholars alongside their families, friends, and supporters! Our ceremony is a wonderful occasion to spend with our graduates' family and loved ones where we can honor this important milestone. We understand many of the challenges and barriers our graduates have overcome to get to this point. Please allow us this opportunity to revel in your educational and personal success! 

SDSU Guardian Scholars Graduation 

The SDSU Guardian Scholars Graduation Celebration Dinner will take place at the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center on Thursday, April 18, 2024. Check-in starts at 5 p.m. and the program will start promptly at 5:30 p.m.

Jewish Graduation

San Diego State University and Hillel of San Diego are thrilled to be celebrating Jewish graduating seniors. A graduation celebration will be held on May 3 from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by the final Shabbat dinner of the academic year.

Lavender Graduation

The Pride Center and LGBTQ+ Studies are excited to celebrate the 15th Annual Lavender Graduation on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 2 to 5pm. The ceremony is open to all 2SLGBTQIA+ undergraduate and graduate students and their allies who graduated or are graduating during the 2023-2024 academic year (including summer 2023). The Pride Center’s Instagram and monthly newsletters will include more information about registration.

Latinx Graduation Recognition 

All undergraduate and graduate students are invited to the Latinx Grad Celebration Recognition, which will be held on May 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Montezuma Hall.

Native Graduation 

Graduating students are invited to participate in a celebration event with the Department of American Indian Studies and the Native Resource Center to recognize students’ accomplishments.

Transborder Graduation in Tijuana 

For the second year, San Diego State University is hosting a Transborder Graduation Ceremony in Tijuana, Mexico. This ceremony provides graduates whose immediate family members cannot cross the border to attend their SDSU commencement the opportunity to celebrate graduation with their loved ones in México. Project Rebound

Project Rebound will host a program-specific graduation in Scripps Cottage. Graduates will be able to invite a limited number of guests and we will be allowing non-graduating PR members to join on a limited basis as well. The ceremony will honor both undergraduate and graduate students simultaneously.
