Community Graduations, Celebrations, and Receptions

In addition to the formal commencement ceremonies at SDSU's Viejas Arena, the university offers a variety of department-level recognition ceremonies and receptions, along with community graduations listed below.

Community graduations are open to all graduating students, while academic department-level ceremonies are exclusive to students graduating from that specific department. Graduating students who are interested in attending a departmental reception should connect with their respective departments.

Students who choose to participate in either a department-level ceremony or one of the university’s community graduations remain eligible to take part in their college’s scheduled commencement ceremony at Viejas Arena.
