Guest Tickets

Guest admission at Viejas Arena will be available through mobile ticketing. Candidates who graduated in Fall 2022 or applied for Spring/Summer 2023 graduation by the January 31, 2023 filing deadline may claim guest admission tickets. Graduates will claim their initial allotment of guest tickets online, free of charge. SDSU does not authorize the sale of complimentary tickets.

All guests who are 1 year of age and older are required to have their own ticket to attend commencement. The only exception to this rule are babies under the age of 1 who must be seated on an adult’s lap.

Guest seating for the majority of commencement ceremonies at Viejas Arena is reserved seating and guests must sit in the seat locations listed on their tickets. If guests have tickets with a seat location listed as “GENADM,” the ceremony is general admission and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in most sections of the arena.

TICKETS FOR GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES

Viejas Arena is a top-loading venue (bottom-level and mid-level entry is not permitted). All guests will be at the top of each section upon entering the venue. Graduates who need seats for their guests with disabilities (e.g., guests that have difficulty navigating stairs, guests who use a wheelchair, etc.) will be able to claim two (2) tickets in the accessible row (row 36) of the arena and then claim their remaining tickets near the tickets in the accessible row. When claiming tickets online, the wheelchair accessible rows are located directly above the bench seating and are labeled with the letter of each section followed by a “WC.” For example, the wheelchair row in section T is labeled “TWC.” Accessible reserved seating is limited and will be available for graduates to claim on a first-come, first-served basis.

Graduates who are participating in a ceremony with general admission guest seating will not need to select seats in row 36, but they should ensure they are including their guests with disabilities in the total number of tickets claimed online. Guests who require accessible seating may sit in any open seat in row 36 of any section and remaining guests can sit in nearby seats.

Graduates and guests can contact the Viejas Arena Ticket Office at [email protected] with questions regarding tickets for guests with disabilities.

GUEST TICKET DISTRIBUTION

To claim guest admission tickets online, graduates will need a GoAztecs account set up with their SDSU.edu email address. If a graduate already has a GoAztecs account used to claim their free Aztec football or basketball student tickets, they do not need to create another account to claim their commencement guest tickets. Graduates should confirm they either have an account already set up with their SDSU.edu email address or create a new GoAztecs account prior to March 21, 2023.
